Hijacking And Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

Three suspects will be making their first appearance in court following their arrest in a multidisciplinary tracing operation by the Hawks' Tactical Operations Management Section, the South African Police Service, the Insurance Crime Bureau and various industry partners.

During the intelligence driven operation, three suspects were arrested, five vehicles of interest recovered, various registration plates, vehicle registration documents as well as an unlicensed firearm and ammunition were recovered.

The suspects will be facing several charges of possession of suspected stolen/hijacked motor vehicles, possession of registration papers belonging to stolen motor vehicles, possession of an unlicensed firearm and illegal ammunition when they appear in court.

More arrests cannot be ruled out as the investigation is ongoing.
