Collaboration Leads To The Seizure Of Five Vehicles And Arrest Of Six Suspects
In two separate operations, six suspects were arrested during crime intelligence driven operations, of which five were Mozambican foreign nationals for the possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles.
The multidisciplinary team comprising of Provincial and Klerksdorp Crime Intelligence, Insurance Crime Bureau, Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU), SA Tracker Connect and the local Operational Coordination Centre (OCC), collaborated to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen vehicles.
During the intelligence driven operation, the suspects were apprehended while in the process of stripping parts from the various vehicles that were found on the premises, which were confirmed stolen and hijacked.
The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena lauded everyone involved in both operations for the successes.
