Fraudster Sentenced To Eight Years Imprisonment For Life Insurance Fraud

In an investigation spanning Five Years, a Life Insurance Fraudster has been found guilty in the Johannesburg High Court on numerous counts of fraud.

Following the death of an unknown male who was shot and killed, the now convicted criminal identified the body as that of his cousin at the Forensic Pathology Services, which was later removed from the facility and cremated.

The Fraudster then proceeded to submit fraudulent claims to the industry for over R 400 000, which triggered some Red Flags and prompted an investigation. Our investigators traced the family of the “deceased”, only to uncover that he was still alive (Walking Dead).

On the 6th of September 2021 the accused was arrested, charged, and denied bail and held in custody until he was convicted on the 8Th of September 2023 for Fraud.
