Limpopo Cop Arrested

The South African Police Service have yet again pounced on one of their own, arresting a 43-year-old sergeant who allegedly murdered six people for insurance pay-outs of around R10 million.

The sergeant was arrested at her workplace at the Senwabarwana police station in Limpopo, after a lengthy investigation into allegations that she was fraudulently benefitting from funeral, accidental and life policy cover from various banks and insurance companies.

According to investigations, her killing spree started in 2019. Her victims were known to her and were from destitute and disadvantaged backgrounds and some were disabled or mentally challenged.

National police commissioner General Fannie Masemola described the officer as a disgrace.

“As a police officer you are entrusted with the safety and security of communities. For a police officer entrusted with such a great responsibility to be involved in such acts is an absolute disgrace. She abused her powers by insuring those that trusted her", Masemola added.

Congratulations to our Investigators, Law Enforcement Agencies, Members and everyone involved in this ongoing investigation!
