Woman arrested for allegedly orchestrating deaths of husband, kids, and relative for insurance payouts.
A 49-year-old woman, who allegedly orchestrated the deaths of her husband and three children, as well as a relative to cash out on insurance policies, will make her first appearance in the Mmabatho Magistrate's Court today, Friday 17th November 2023.
If this case sounds familiar, you may be thinking of Rosemary Ndlovu, a serial killer who was convicted following the deaths of her six relatives between 2012 and 2018.
This woman was arrested following an intelligence driven operation after family members raised suspicions. The murder that was initially ruled a ‘natural death’ happened in March 2023, where a female relative died under mysterious circumstances. Investigations revealed that the suspect fraudulently took out insurance on her behalf prior to her murder.
The team is also investigating the deaths of her two daughters who died in 2005 and 2015, her husband who died in 2016 and her son who died in July 2023.
